Art of Procurement is excited to announce the official launch of SpendPros, a new on-demand consultancy that connects businesses with the expertise and market intelligence they need to improve the management of high-impact spend categories without the cost, complexity, and commitment of traditional consultancies.
Procurement often needs category expertise in multiple areas but doesn’t have the resources to hire subject matter experts for every category or outsource the entire program to one large provider.
Some teams end up relying on generalists who don’t have the niche expertise required to extract the most value out of every category, or they make the tough decision to focus their efforts only on core spend categories while all but ignoring the rest.
When procurement doesn’t have access to the category expertise they need, the result is lost opportunity – for procurement and for the business.
For the last few years, Art of Procurement has been working with several organizations to close this gap. We have built up a large network of subject matter experts with specializations in nearly every category – our “SpendPros” – who can not only make strategic or tactical recommendations but who can also support procurement teams through large transformation and change management projects.
In 2024, we recognized an outsized need in the market, and we decided to launch SpendPros more formally, making the service available to anyone in the procurement community who needs help unlocking the potential of their high-impact category spend.
