Welcome to a special edition of the Sourcing Industry Landscape podcast, hosted by Dawn Tiura, where we highlight Rising Star Award finalists for Sourcing Industry Group’s (SIG) Future of Sourcing Awards.

The finalists on this show combine their technical skills with curiosity to embrace technology that drives innovation and value to make their businesses more strategic.

The Rising Star Award will recognize an individual newer to the industry who has shown initiative and promise by delivering a project, developing thought leadership or creating a new methodology that is likely to have a lasting impact.

About the Guests:

  • Conor Quarry, Analytics as a Service Lead, IBM – Conor’s strong focus on analytics led to the development of a tool that evaluates negotiation approaches to gauge potential award recommendations, which resulted in a drastic reduction of the RFP review period and substantial cost savings. Conor has been recognized as one of ISM‘s 30 under 30 Rising Supply Chain Stars, is a published thought leader and continues to bridge the gap between data, insight and action.
  • Komal Patel, Global Process Owner, Source-to-Pay (S2P), Kellogg Company – Komal has displayed a futuristic vision for procurement services and technology by maximizing efficiency and effectiveness for Kellogg. She has expertly managed the integration of systems and user experiences to drive standardization, automation and superior business outcomes, and is recognized by other functions outside procurement, which are modeling their own digital transformations on Komal’s example.

About this Series:

Over the coming weeks, listeners will be introduced to the teams and individuals whose work has had significant impacts on the industry, the organizations for which they work and their colleagues.
