It’s easy to think that in this world of access to information, being able to forecast, anticipate and, most importantly, respond to changes is a straightforward task.
Just Google search the category or read articles from credible news sources and off you go. Right?
If the last few years have taught procurement anything it is that casual, high level research is not enough. We need to understand what changes are coming and develop the insight required to help the company prepare for that change.
We need to understand our sources of truth.
Truth comes from a variety of sources; from analytics, intelligence and also from the lived experience of people. And we can use it to answer questions and find ways to improve.
Questions like:
- What can reliable and credible market intelligence tell us? How can we use it to generate insight and actionable value to the business?
- What can case studies from a category like Security and Guard Services tell us about the options available to us when we’re trying to contain costs without sacrificing quality?
- Can the experience of navigating the challenges in supply chains or an ever changing category like marketing help me find strategies to manage my own category?
These are just some of the questions that have inspired the agenda for our festival of category insight, Categorypalooza.
With the diverse and deep expertise we have on show from our panel members you’re bound to come away with some answers.
